Going through very stressful, frightening or distressing events can be called trauma. Trauma can significantly impact our mental health, the way we function as human beings and our resilience to coping with further stressful life events. PTSD and Complex PTSD are known to develop as a direct result of trauma, but trauma is also linked to many other mental health conditions. This course is suitable for anyone who would like to understand more about trauma and how to cope with the impact of trauma on our mental health. This course will encourage students to talk in general terms about their own experiences but in order to keep everyone safe we will not talk specifically about distressing events we have personally experienced.

Duration: This is a 3-part course in-person, each part lasts 3 hours spread out over the course of three weeks
